INSPIRED BY THE FIRE.

Located in the small farming town of Conestogo, Ontario, Crowsfoot Smokehaus & General Store stands on what is known to be one of the oldest venues in Waterloo Region. The storied traditions of the building span centuries, and live on to this day with a contemporary menu inspired by traditional German cuisine and Southern-style smokehouse barbecue.

Given the building’s connection to the region’s history and its deep roots in the local German community, we pulled inspiration from traditional Bavarian taverns and hand-placed woodcut typesetting techniques to build Crowsfoot’s visual identity. The restaurant’s initial multimedia launch campaign was then rolled out with the help of a wide array of photo and video components, effectively telling the story of Crowsfoot’s origins and commitment to the Conestogo community.
